I preordered the keyboard and got it a few days after, and I absolutely love it. Until I saw this video, I didn't know that was what the star button did lol. I avoided the super stick and buttons because the software, in my opinion, fucking sucks. Macros barely work for me, and it is extremely annoying. A downside is the joystick itself. Like you said, it should have had a button, but I also don't like the square gate. I don't know why 8BitDo keeps using it, but they do and I hate it. EXTREMELY inaccurate for games like Pac-Man and Berzerk, and if I am missing shots in Berzerk, your stick has an issue. Other than that, I really love it. Satisfying to use. 8BitDo is making an IBM version of this keyboard, which looks sick, and would probably be awesome to play DOOM with. 8BitDo is also making a number pad with each of the keyboard's styles, and it comes with a full on calculator, which is sick as fuck.

IMHO if the numpad is really needed (personally I never use it and go for TKL keyboards), it would be better as a standalone one as most of the time it just takes up space and pushes mouse away from a more comfortable placement. I think that it would actually be a way more practical accessory than the provided joystick or even the buttons as those are better connected to the computer directly rather than wiring them all the way to the keyboard. I assume here that they are only practical on the floor for foot use.

Thanks for sharing your experience/insights! I somewhat like it, but the knobs/buttons on the top left look more at home in the Fami edition colors than the C64. Assembling my case was scary and confusing. It was a bit reassuring to see it was not a piece of cake for you either. The instructions could have been clearer, which screw to use for what, and so on. It was more of a 3D jigsaw puzzle. Funny how the misplaced feet made little difference. My guess is the two round holes in the back are to accommodate different power jack sizes. I bought my Pico PSU along with my Commander, which might be different than yours? Stuck mine out the other hole there and it seems to fit. You noticed the back breakaway (?) thing for the extra I/O card. The little mysterious plastic rectangle in your kit is later used to secure that card to the case, much like on a slim PC case, only sideways. I saw a picture somewhere that made use of that plastic piece in this way. Below that appears to be the "official" place for that shiny sticker to go. You can make out a faint outline of where it might have went. But hey, it's a sticker. Works exactly the same on the bottom of the case. Put it on your refrigerator if you want, eh? I'm glad they went with the solid-top piece with the butterfly etching, vs the slotted pattern which would allow dust in. Only question is, should that touchy-feely part of the clear butterfly face up or down? I put the smooth side facing up on mine. Not gonna use a monitor atop this, so left out that plastic center bar. Looks great.
